The Sparrow Who Flooded a Village
Diu is bored during her summer holidays until she notices a tiny sparrow on her balcony. Her Paati then tells her a funny village story about a greedy sparrow who loved payasam so much that it accidentally flooded an entire village! Inspired by a word-of-mouth tale the author heard from her grandmother during childhood, this story also explores why sparrows are disappearing from our cities and how we can help protect them.
