Jobs

About this book

What is a job? This is what you do for money. It is a very ancient concept. In the ancient world there were masters who received money for their work. Teachers, bus drivers – they all do jobs and get paid. There are many types of jobs in the world today. Some jobs are inside. Such people work in a warm office. They use phones and computers. They make documents. Some jobs are outside. These people work in the street. They work when it is warm, hot or very cold. They build new houses or make roads. There are jobs when a person comes to the same place every day. And some workers travel to a new country every day – like pilots of airplanes or flight attendants. You will learn more about various jobs from this book.
