The Joy Luck Club

About this book

The mother is the main teacher of life wisdom for each girl. The mother can teach her daughter so many necessary and important things. Even how to maintain faith in humanity and the future after losing innocence and experiencing severe shock. How to continue to go towards your goal, even when there is no faith in success and it becomes very difficult to act. How to keep smiling, despite the surrounding adversity. The plot focuses on four women and their daughters. All of them are Americans of Chinese descent. The women were born in China, but their daughters were born in the United States. Looking at these families, the reader will be able to see how life is changing in a new country. How one can maintain his or her own original culture, being thousands of kilometres away from your homeland.
